When it comes to visiting Jamaica for your next holiday, trying the local cuisine is just one of the many perks about this island nation. It is not uncommon to see the locals dining on liver or Codfish for breakfast. While these may sound tantalizing, it is the dinner meals that are a world favorite. Bananas are a commonplace and are used in some form on almost any meal including fried bananas, banana pudding as well as many tantalizing deserts made from bananas. Along with coconuts, the bananas are an important part of the Jamaican diet.

But it is the Jerk and Curry that is the world favorite meals. While in Jamaica if there is one food that you have just got to try, it is either a Jerk or it is a Curry. Jerk comes as either Jerk Chicken or Jerk Pork, but it is the Curry Goat that can satisfy virtually anyone’s curious taste buds.

With so many great and tasty foods to choose from it may not be possible to try them all, but you should try as many as you can. The food in Jamaica is not only very colorful and festive, but it is also very tasty and full of flavors that no one can ever get enough of.
